Not to be mean, but the Sony Xperia 1 IV renders just dropped and they’re… disappointing. (In my personal opinion.)
Let me explain. The renders, leaked by OnLeaks (who’s leaked a lot of reliable information in the past) with GizNext (same case, but less frequently than OnLeaks), show us what the new Sony Xperia 1 IV looks like.
It’s good enough. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip; 6.5inch display; side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone is flat and squared. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. There will be three cameras and they are said to be 12MP each. Look at it yourself, in the video below.
(There’s more, you can find the original article here: GizNext)
You see, the difference between Sony Xperia 1 III and 1 IV is— oh right, nothing. The renders give absolutely nothing to be excited about this new phone. Obviously they’re not the same down to a dot, but as mentioned earlier, there’s barely anything new; nothing exciting.
But is that really a bad thing? No! Sony Xperia 1 III has had a great year in 2021. Android Authority especially loved it.
The good thing about Sony is it’s reliability. If Sony claims something, it will deliver. So we have to wait, maybe the new Sony flagship exceeds our expectations.
