Google is launching Airdrop Competitor to in form of Chrome<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

You have used Shareit, Airdrop, and other file transfer tools. They get the work done but they take up space on your smartphone and an extra app to look at. Well, Google is gonna make that easy for you. The Chrome<\/a> OS lacks Airdrop like feature. So, Google<\/a> is bringing that to Chrome OS. That means Google is Bringing file transfers to Chrome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smartphone Companies have built their Own file transfer system within the device’s ROM but that works for similar devices. Google <\/a>will now install this feature into Chrome and will ship with the next update to all devices. The file transfer feature will support all platforms macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iOS, Windows, and even Linux. The feature is known as “Nearby Share” earlier it was known as “Fast Share”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature will be embedded into the Chrome browser so it will be available on all platforms as the browser gets updated. There is no official statement about this but some twitter users reported the feature appeared in their Pixel devices as part of some beta program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google’s latest developer video on Android 11 just showed off “Nearby Sharing” integrated into the share sheet.
