Moto G 5G is the cheapest 5G smartphone in the market right now. There are basically two variants of Moto G 5G, Indian Variant is powered by Snapdragon 750G and then there is another Global variant <\/a>powered by Snapdragon 765G. We will be reviewing both the models in this post and take a look at the contrast between them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Both Snapdragon 750G and 765G are quite similar. The 750G lags behind 765G in power efficiency due to the more powerful GPU. 750G manages to get a 6% higher score on Antutu 8 benchmark. Even in Single Core and Multi-Core GeekBench tests, SD750G wins over SD765G<\/a> though with a negligible difference. Both offer 5G support. In terms of Performance, Moto G 5G won’t disappoint you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it lacks a higher refresh rate(90Hz in Global variant) and is stuck at standard 60Hz. Moto G 5G is powered by Android 10 and Moto’s near-stock tweaked custom ROM. The software comes with several handy features and performance improvements. The Software Optimisation gives the Smartphone power to easily outperform its SD765G competitors like VIVO V20 Pro. 6GB and 128GB Storage will keep you satisfied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Global Variant clearly wins in design. Dual Punch Hole Camera and a polished back make it stunning. But with a matte finish, Indian Variant also looks and feels good. The Design is almost similar in both variants with a Quad Camera setup on the back (flash in place of the fourth camera in the Indian variant). Single Speaker, HeadPhone Jack, and Type-C port at the bottom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Side Mounted FingerPrint scanner is the added cherry on the cake. The display is a huge 6.67inch Full HD+ Cinema Vision with a 21:9 Screen body ratio. Indian Variant lacks HDR10 which Global variant features. Display technology is LTPS on both and lacks AMOLED. But still, it is enriched with good colors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Camera<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 48MP sensor is capable of clicking some great shots in daylight with good amount of details and sharpness. But struggles in low light. The noise in photos is reduced by Moto Algorithms but that suppresses details in the photo. Night Vision helps but still it needs more work from Motorola. The edges in portrait shots are not sharp even when the device has a dedicated depth sensor. The Camera will impress you as long as there is a natural source of light around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can record videos in 4K @30fps. Also supports EIS for stable videos. 8MP ultrawide is good during the day but just like other ultrawide grainy during nights. Macro Camera needs Good lightning to click some good shots. 2MP(Global variant) depth just gives you better portraits. 16MP front camera is capable of capturing some great selfies and slow-motion videos. Can record videos at FHD 30fps. The global variant also gives 8MP ultra-wide camera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

5000mah battery is enough to get you through the day. 20W turbocharge allows you to get going while traveling. The TurboCharger comes in the box. The battery will easily last you a day with heavy usage in the 4G world. But Once 5G is out in India it’s going to suck a lot of battery. And still, the device will manage to give you at least half a day of battery life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verdict<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Moto G 5G is a great device. It is essentially the cheapest 5G smartphone in India and one of the cheapest smartphones in the global market. It is a future-ready smartphone. The clean android with really powerful tweaks and essential features provides one of the best Android experiences in the market. If you don’t want 5G then buy devices from Moto rivals like Redmi, Realme<\/a>, and others<\/a>.
