New Airpods 3rd Generation are creating a buzz thanks to its budget-friendly price, but is it really worth it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple released their first Airpods in 2016, creating a huge frenzy and a trend of wireless earphones. The company didn\u2019t make the first wireless earphones, but it made it mainstream. Now, Apple is adding a new \u201cgeneration\u201d to their Airpods series called Airpods 3rd Generation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s new, what\u2019s the same, and what to expect? Check it out below!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s New<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Airpods 3rd Generation has one extra battery hour.<\/strong> So in total, the new Airpods should last a user for 6 hours.<\/strong> The previous two versions of Airpods lasted only 5 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a MagSafe (wireless) charging<\/strong> for the new Airpods. This MagSafe is an extra thing to buy, but the magnets keep the Airpods in place firmly. The case can charge upto 30 hours of battery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, Airpods 3rd Generation has a new price. Its retail price in India is INR 18,500<\/a><\/strong>. This is cheaper than the previous two available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s The Same<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The new Airpods is almost identical to Airpods Pro. The stem is shorter<\/strong>, the ear-piece is elongated. But they\u2019ve removed the silicone tips<\/strong> that came with Pro, making it similar to Airpods 1st Generation instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case of the new Airpods is wide and opens that way, sticking to the same design of their first Airpods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water and sweat resistance on this new version is IPX4<\/strong>. This IP rating is good enough if they\u2019re used for working out-only. If there\u2019s any water spill, the Airpods are likely to be damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What To Expect<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

New Airpods don\u2019t have noise cancellation<\/strong>. The previous versions did, but not this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cnew\u201d design might not fit everyone properly. This has been true for all versions of Airpods, though. Apple is yet to add different sizes <\/strong>of Airpods to fit every kind of ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with this, the new Airpods\u2019 microphone isn\u2019t the best<\/strong> among the three available versions. In fact, it comes last<\/em> in audio-receiving quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verdict<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Airpods 3rd Generation may be cheaper, but it\u2019s not worth it<\/strong>. Considering the lack of noise cancellation and poor quality on the phone, you\u2019re better of buying Airpods Pro or Airpods 1st Generation<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
