Acer recently launched two new Chromebooks. Both Chromebook models are identical, the only difference is RAM configuration. The Chromebooks are priced at 480$+ and will soon be available to buy. The 2 in 1 Chromebook can rotate 360deg and is ideal for low intensity work. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7c processor which gives it 13.5 hrs of battery but takes away the performance factor.
Snapdragon 7c is far weaker than the intel i3 processor. At 480$ you can easily get a Ryzen or intel processor which provides way better performance. Snapdragon 7c is an 8nm processor and also brings 4G connectivity to the laptop. It is only 1.2kg in weight and comes with a 13inch FHD IPS display. With a screen-to-body ratio of 78%, the display has enough brightness and clarity to get you through the day without complaints.
Two built-in microphones provide clarity of sound. USB Type-C and USB 3.2 Type-A adds to the versatility. The touch screen and touchpad are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. But again I don’t understand which audience does Chromebooks target? They are not powerful at all. Processing Power is the basis of a laptop. Anyway, if you are looking for Chromebook then it’s a good buy. But if you are looking for a laptop under 500$ better go with an i3 or Ryzen 3 laptop.
