Last week, tipsters Steve and Zoutons on twitter posted a video of possible Xiaomi 12 series phones. It was a 360-degree video which indicates to curved screen and triple rear camera. Under-display selfie camera seems to be missing.

Xiaomi confirmed Xiaomi 12 series. They posted on Weibo, announcing Xiaomi 12 series will launch on 28 December in China, at 7:30PM Beijing time.
The post clarifies that Xiaomi 12 is a “small-sized” flagship, while Xiaomi 12 Pro is “all-round” flagship. An invite poster is attached to their post, giving us a look at the two phones.
Just as the tipsters’ hinted, there’s a notable size difference between the phones. The Xiaomi 12 is around 152.7mm tall.
There is no information about the specs of this new series just yet. However, here are some specs we expect: it will have 67W charger or higher, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 120Hz OLED Screen. The Geekbench listings show 12GB of RAM.
Xiaomi 12 is smaller than Redmi Note 10T. (Unclear on Mi 12 Pro.)
The MIUI Weibo account name-dropped MIUI 13 update as well. Co-founder of Xiaomi mentioned the update in his post about Xiaomi 12 series. In the past, Xiaomi updates have been difficult and buggy, but the post mentions a focus on speed and stability this time.
