The first Pocophone the poco f1 was a great value for money device. It is Poco F1 that introduced a flagship level performance at a very low price. The launch of Poco F1 led to a war in mid range to own the flagship killer titles. The Indian market ever since saw a flood of value for money devices. But What about Poco X2? Simple Words Poco X2- Nothin Extraordinary.
Poco X2 is a near replica of Redmi K30 that launched in China. But, is this smartphone worth the hype? Let’s take a look
Performance
Poco X2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G under the hood. SD730G is a mid range processor by Qualcomm. The Processor is fast enough for the price and you can play games like PUBG in Graphics setting of upto HD max. No lags, No frame drops just smooth performance. The Overall Experience for the smartphone is Good.
Design
Talking about the design, Poco X2 is just a rebrand of Redmi K30 in terms of design. Redmi K30 which is itself inspire by Huawei Mate 30 Pro. However, the design is pretty good. The glass finish adds extra layer of premium feel. The glossy design do not catch fingerprints and a simple wipe is enough to clean it.
The central Mid frame is built with plastic. All that glass makes the device bit slippery so, you need to be careful. The beauty of the beast is it comes with a headphone jack. The fingerprint is mounted on the sides and feels pretty fast. Also, it has splash proof nano- coating.
Camera
The hottest topic in the Smartphones is camera right now. Poco X2 comes with a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor as main camera which is paired with 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth and macro. On the Front we have 20MP+2MP setup. The main camera uses pixel binning technology to shoot 16MP photos by default. Poco X2 produces some pretty good results for the price but it doesn’t make a new benchmark.
Poco X2 can give you a 2X digitally zoomed images with the main camera with no distortion. The ultrawide camera is also pretty good and software does do some pretty good job here. The front camera produces some overexposed images just like in Redmi K20. Video Captures can be done upto 4K @ 30fps. EIS makes a difference.
120HZ Display
120HZ display is the selling feature for poco X2 but does it really count. Refresh rates doesn’t make any difference for daily usage you can read this post to find more. However it is not bad to have high refresh rate but it can be little heavy on your battery if not managed.
Verdict
The final question arises is it worth to buy Poco X2. You can choose poco X2, you won’t be disappointed. Poco X2 is a great value for money smartphone. However, it is quite heavy and big. If you need something little lightweight and Compact go for Realme X2 the perfect alternative to Poco X2.
