Redmi Note 11T: First Impressions

Xiaomi launched a new phone today in India. Redmi Note 11T is renamed for the Indian market. This is not surprising, since Xiaomi did the same with Redmi Note10T.

The new phone will arrive in India in early December. It looks similar to Poco M4 Pro, and from the back, it’s similar to the original Redmi Note 11.

For this phone, Xiaomi has kept it’s rates below INR 20,000 category. The specs of this phone was released today as well, during a live at 12:00pm IST. The phone comes in three colours: Stardust White, Aquamarine Blue, and Matte Black. Let’s look at the specs and its first impressions:

First Specs

Redmi Note 11T works on a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC chipset. It starts with 6GB of RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. Storage is expandable. The battery is 5,000mAh and it comes with a 33W charger.

Xiaomi has been pretty consistent with their screen display, not so much with their cameras. Only time will tell if they’ve stuck to this unofficial branding. For now, the new phone has 6.6inch screen, with LCD HD+ display (1,080×2,400 pixels. It has 90Hz refresh rate, and has a touch sampling of 240Hz

The cameras include: a 50MP primary, 2MP macro, and 8MP ultra-wide. The front facing camera is 16MP.

Redmi Note 11T’s water resistance is IP53. It’s not great, but it’s better than no IP rating at all. Xiaomi, thankfully, hasn’t removed the the 3.5mm headphone jack.

All in all, the new Redmi Note 11T is not much different from Poco M4 Pro, but it’s a decent quality increase from Redmi Note 10T.

As with any other phones, the new Xiaomi phone comes with different storage and configurations.

The price for the phone with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is around INR 16,999. Price for 6GB and 128GB of storage is INR 17,999. And the price comes around INR 19,999 is 8GB and 128GB.

However, the new Redmi phone will go on sale on December 7th, which will reduce the price for the three types.
