In the past months, there have been several leaks about OnePlus 10 Pro. But now, we finally got a confirmation of its release.
Every year, OnePlus releases a new series of flagships in a numerical order. OnePlus 4 is the only missing number in the series.
The previous series, OnePlus 7 launched on May 14th, OnePlus 8 on April 14th, and OnePlus 9 on March 23. As per this tradition, the expected release of the new flagship was February or March. But the new flagship is coming in January!
However, the co-founder Pete Lau, on Weibo, posted “see you in January” and used the OnePlus 10 Pro hashtag. The official OnePlus account shared the Weibo post and mentions “coming soon.”
A popular tipster OnLeaks on twitter shared what the phone might look like.
Summary of The Rumors
Some specs of this phones are yet to be confirmed, but here is what we know. OnePlus 10 Pro will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 120Hz QHD+ OLED display, 5,000mAh, and 80W charging. The speculations around the charging has been anywhere from 75W to 125W.
It may contain triple rear camera system. A 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and 8MP 3.3x zoom lens. The front facing camera may have 32MP for selfies. And, not for the first time, the OnePlus phone can have a good dust and water resistance of IP68. The storage variants may look like this: 8 to 12GB of RAM, and 128 to 256GB of internal storage. Keep in mind the specs are tentative, we will know more in January.
The most curious thing about OnePlus 10 Pro is the rumours about a new operating system. With the new phone, OnePlus is bidding goodbye to the Oxygen OS and switching to a “hybrid” OS.
Considering OnePlus 9 series’ prices are from INR 40,000 to INR 70,000, this new series can be on the same range.
OnePlus 10 Pro, even though is not in the market yet, already has competition from Samsung. Samsung is releasing it’s Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in January as well.
