Samsung Flagships are good. In fact, Samsung makes some of the best flagships out there. But the mid-range offering by Samsung is mostly inferior and overpriced to the competition. In the year 2020, Samsung redefined its budget lineup. The M series is one of the Good ones. Now Samsung is targeting the mid-range market. With the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, the company wants to establish its presence in the mid-range.
OnePlus Nord is clearly the highlight in the mid-range market. Keeping that in mind Samsung is about to launch A42 the cheapest 5G smartphone by Samsung. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 750G another mid-range 5G processor launched back in September. 750G is similar to SD765G in terms of performance.
A42 will also pack 4GB RAM 128GB Internal, 5000mah(15W) battery and in display Fingerprint. From Performance Perspective the device will struggle with multitasking experience due to low RAM. The Display as usual is an sAMOLED 6.6″HD+ panel. The device also sports a 20MP front camera and a 48MP quad camera setup on rear end.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is also 30€ cheaper than OnePlus Nord. But the latter is still better than Samsung’s new mid-ranger. You can buy Samsung A42 if you only want a Samsung smartphone. By paying just 30€ more you get double the RAM, better overall aesthetics, and double the fast charging. Anyway, “Well done Samsung but you need to try harder next time.”
