Apple Search Engine: Google’s End is inevitable

Apple planned its own search engine back in 2015 when Apple crawl bot was detected. The Apple Google Search Engine deal is about to fall apart and the Apple search engine would be apple’s answer to google for that. But what was the deal? Google paid Apple 8-12$ billion per year for making Google the default search engine across all Apple devices.

Now due to the antitrust far fair, the deal is under threat. Antitrust regulators are arguing that this deal is anticompetitive. And maybe it is. But if Google creates its own search engine what will be Google’s future. FT reports on the Apple Search Engine

Apple is stepping up efforts to develop its own search technology as US antitrust authorities threaten multibillion-dollar payments that Google makes to secure prime placement of its engine on the iPhone.

In a little-noticed change to the latest version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 14, Apple has begun to show its own search results and link directly to websites when users type queries from its home screen.

That web search capability marks an important advance in Appleā€™s in-house development and could form the foundation of a fuller attack on Google, according to several people in the industry

Apple’s own search engine will mean more privacy for its users also the search engine might help make Siri smarter. With Apple making Privacy as its products highlight it seems inevitable for the beginning of the Apple Search Engine era.

Google’s Future

Apple making its own search engine will help Google millions of users. Huawei Petal Search again will help Google lose millions of users. Harmony OS might take away a large piece of Android market share. This will destroy Google’s domination in the market. But Google is still a really big competitor. Google will lose users but it will be good to see how the competition goes between Apple, Huawei, and Google.
