Micromax In Note 1: What’s the True Value of This Smartphone?

Micromax launched its IN series earlier this month. Micromax promised multiple things but how much have they delivered in their smartphone we will find out in this post. The pricing of both the smartphone is highly competitive and the device is not that different compared to Chinese manufacturers apart from Micromax being Chinese. But, let’s take a look at the smartphone itself.

At its core, the Micromax In Note 1 is Powered by Mediatek Helio G85. Helio G85 is a Gaming processor for upper budget category smartphones. It is a 12nm processor, and the best processor you can get in this price range. With its intense power, you can play graphic intensive games like PUBG, COD Mobile with ease.

G85 is a gaming processor and will consume battery whenever put to use. The Micromax In Note 1 balances out its low efficiency with a 5000mah battery and 18W fast charging. Fast Charging gives you peace of mind whenever your battery is about to die.

In Note 1 comes with a 6.67inch FHD+ punch-hole display. The Punch hole is in the middle but still, the display is good enough. You won’t be disappointed. Apart from that, you have a dual microphone for studio-quality recording. Speakers at the bottom. The Rear panel is designed somewhat similar to Honor 9X. It does look and feel premium.

On the front side, we have a 16MP Selfie Camera that can click some good images. The rear is a 48MP Quad Camera setup. 48MP main sensor 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, 2MP Depth. But in my eyes, the other four-camera are just for show off. 5MP ultra-wide won’t be of any use as it will click some really bad images. Macro no one uses. Depth is just nothing.

But the 48MP main sensor has the ability to deliver some really good shots and won’t disappoint you at this price point. You might not love the selfie due to its beautification but you can turn that off. There is not much detail about video recording but it should capture up to 1080p videos.

As I wrote the other day in the near future software will be the only difference between smartphones. After all, Software was the main reason for Micromax’s failure in the first place. Micromax has realized that and promised to deliver a Pure android experience with 2 years of update. The Software is clean and free of bloatware as promised.

But there is no light on when and at what frequency the device will get updates. We also don’t know will the software stay ad-free in the future. Many questions because of the Micromax’s past. But it’s a good start.

Micromax In Note 1 is a really special smartphone. The Device packs a really powerful spec sheet with a stunning price tag. If you are considering buying Micromax In Note 1 then buy the 4/64GB which will cost you 11K INR variant it comes with an SD Card Slot so, you don’t have to spend an extra 1500INR for 128GB of Storage. There is no doubt that the product is good. Here is a link to the 64GB Variant:
