To check whether you are eligible for a free upgrade you can visit here and download the PC Health Check App. There will be a Windows Insider Program release next week. If you wanna join the Windows Insider program visit this link. Now Let’s talk about what Windows brings with this massive update.

Aesthetics

Windows 11 brings a completely new design. The new design is more attractive and elegant but at the same time more user-friendly. All the icons in the navbar are now centered following the mac and Linux default look. The start menu now displays only the pinned apps and recommended documents. You need to click on all apps to view the whole list of applications present on your pc. New dark mode, more animations and transitions, more colors, and better-rounded corners will give a completely new and appealing feel to Windows 11. It will be worth the upgrade. Windows 11 will also let you customize different desktops with different wallpapers.

Multi Tasking

Windows 11 brings Snap layouts, snap groups, and docking for multi-tasking. With snap layouts, you can put up to 6 applications side by side and use all of them together in one frame. Snap group feature keeps all the notifications and messages of a snap group limited to it. You won’t get notifications of one snap group into another. Similarly in docking if you disconnect a monitor all the apps on that monitor will minimize and when you reconnect the monitor all apps will be displayed as they were before.

Widgets, And Touch

Widgets are back again in windows 11. Now the widgets are powered by Microsoft Edge and AI which will enable you to get important information like a to-do list, calendar, schedule, time, etc. at one glance. Windows 11 also includes several tweaks like increased space between app icons to increase support and reliability of windows device touch. The onscreen keyboard can now be customized just like smartphones. Windows 11 is also introducing improved voice typing with support for auto punctuation and more accurate voice-to-text recognition.

Married To Android

With macOS Big Sur Apple hinted that it will soon launch support for universal applications, i.e. applications build for iPhone will be available for mac users. To battle that Windows 11 introduced support for Android Applications. Android apps will be available in the Windows app store and you can also sideload Android Apps to Windows 11. Windows Store will be integrated with the Amazon App store which means you can search for android apps on the windows store and then download them from the Amazon app store just with one click.

Gaming

Windows 11 brings support for Auto HDR which will improve the video and picture quality of games as well as introduce more details in gameplays. The new DirectStorage API will improve game loading time. Xbox game pass subscription will be built right into Windows 11 via the Xbox app.
