The Nainital Experience: Humans

Last updated on June 12, 2022

It is said traveling fills the soul. It allows you to explore the beauty of nature. But I see more than mountains and rivers. I see people, stories and of course the food. This Nainital Trip was a small tour but allowed me to see similarities in humans so, here is what I saw and experienced

Let’s talk about humans first. I saw hope in a man who was happy with the small life that he had. He was happy with little money because it allowed him to stay close to his family. I heard a man who was guilty of breaking someone’s heart who later was betrayed by someone else. Then, I saw struggle. People trying to sell products and services from person to person on the streets just to earn enough to put food on the table for their family. Struggle that was pure.

I also saw kindness. Lost people were given directions by the locals irrespective of their language, religion or place. People are in great diversity. From good to bad. I also saw young boys drinking and behaving erratically. And how can I forget the policeman struggling to make their daily wages so, started catching innocent travellers who rented bike for their tour.

And then I saw a girl who didn’t talk much but was quite magical. Apart from all that I managed to enjoy somehow thanks to the people who were with me. Let’s talk Food was nothing extra ordinary just served in a more sophisticated manner with higher price tag. When you go to mountains you expect to eat something you never tasted before but that was not our case. Or maybe we didn’t focus that much on food.
