Rivet Networks sold to Intel for good.

Rivet Networks is the Company behind killer gaming networking cards

Rivet Networks is the Company behind the killer gaming NICs (Network Interface Cards responsible for managing network) used in popular gaming laptops from Dell, Alienware, and others. These gaming-focused NICs are built to reduce the network latency for a better gaming experience. Now Rivet Networks sold to Intel for good. Why is it good? Rivet Networks was the biggest Competitor to intel in the gaming market. Now Intel will produce better NICs cards.

When we play an online game the Internet latency plays a vital role in the performance. It happens to me all the time “I am playing a game and suddenly an enemy in front out of nowhere. I fire bullets all over his body but the game gets stuck. When the controls are back I am dead”.

This is where NICs come into play. They manage your network to provide optimum latency and reduce such incidents. However, the Intel and Rivet Networks relation is old enough. In fact, Rivet Networks and Intel had a collaborative project a few years back to develop Killer Wireless-AC 1550 NIC.

In that Collaboration Intel was handling the Manufacturing, according to AnandTech. Intel in a press release announced Rivet Networks all Killer products with its software, will be part of its portfolio.

In the near future, there will be an Intel manufactured NICs powering gaming PCs and laptops with Rivet Networks Killer DNA. However, we don’t have any information about when to expect a new Intel NIC. Thanks for Reading. Stay Safe! Stay Humble!.
