The device has everything you might expect from midrange flagship but……
The original Poco F1 was one of the most popular devices at the time of its launch. Poco made its name in the market as a new flagship killer. But now the price bracket is 499$ for Poco F2 Pro. The market is different and the level of Competition today is tremendous. Poco F2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 865 and that is the highlighted feature. But it is not the only device with Snapdragon 865 under 500$.
Design & Display:
219g in weight, that’s heavy. Smartphones are getting heavier each day which is the reason I had to pick Samsung recently. You get an in Display fingerprint and popup selfie. Glass and Metal build. That’s where I think Companies could improve. Just give us matte-finished but at least make the devices bit lighter. But its personal preference. The design is pretty similar to the Redmi K30 series. In fact, both devices share the same chassis(body). The build is just like its Competitors nothing fancier we have better build devices in the same price bracket. But it is not bad.
Talking about the display it looks stunning. The Poco F2 Pro offers a 6.68inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel. Protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and a 60Hz old age refresh rate. At 500$ 60Hz feels disappointing. You won’t have any issues with 60Hz but if it was 90 or 120 refresh rate the device would feel a lot faster.
Performance & Battery:
The device is powered by Snapdragon 865 under the hood. So, it can handle the heaviest tasks you through at it. You can play whatever game you desire. Whether it is Fortnite, PUBG, Call of Duty at the max possible graphics settings. Talking about the battery. The device is powered by a 4700mah battery and a 30W fast charging. You can charge it from 0 to 100% in 64 minutes. The device runs MIUI 11 with Android 10 which is a nice ROM by Xiaomi but some might feel annoyed with its design and those ads.
Camera:
The claims are heavy as for Every smartphone Xiaomi makes. Up to 8K video recording support. Well, that is all by the processor and the 64MP main camera 20MP selfie. Ultra-Wide is 13MP which is descent then we have 5MP macro and 2MP depth. The Camera overall is average. The processing is not good. The Camera quality is not better than budget 64MP devices. The night mode is the worst. No stability in 4k videos. Full HD recording has a steady mode. I mean it is like a budget Smartphone Camera. The POCO X2 Camera with a better processor.
Verdict
Poco F2 pro is overall Good. But not great. If there are devices like Realme X50 pro or IQOO in your country then go for those devices. These devices offer much better overall value than POCO F2 pro in the same price bracket. But if PCO F2 Pro is the only device with SD 865 in your country at this price point then you don’t really have an option.
[…] Also, the pricing is not competitive. The pricing with average specs has been the reason for HTC’s failure for the past few years and still, it continues to do the same. But let’s be honest the device doesn’t look bad. Only the price makes it bad. Because if you are spending 600$ then you will get an SD865 device. […]

[…] You know about Redmi Note 9 Pro the successor of Redmi Note 8 Pro. Note series is the budget flagship series by Xiaomi. These are some of the best smartphones in the market. Now let’s talk about Poco. Poco a brand that was established as a flagship killer has lost its direction. It seems Poco no more has a vision. Recently Poco F2 pro launched which is not a good successor to Poco F2. […]
