Poco M2 Pro: Rebranded With Refinements

You know about Redmi Note 9 Pro the successor of Redmi Note 8 Pro. Note series is the budget flagship series by Xiaomi. These are some of the best smartphones in the market. Now let’s talk about Poco. Poco a brand that was established as a flagship killer has lost its direction. It seems Poco no more has a vision. Recently Poco F2 pro launched which is not a good successor to Poco F2.

Performance

Both the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Poco M2 Pro feature the same processor i.e. Snapdragon 720G. Snapdragon 720G is fairly a good processor to meet your daily computing needs and light gaming. You can enjoy seamless multitasking. With 6GB RAM you have enough storage to run the heaviest apps from play store. But don’t get too excited and expect to play Fortnite on it. The Side Mounted fingerprint scanner adds to your comfort zone.

Design & Battery

The design of Poco M2 Pro is exactly similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro. The same Huawei inspired Quad camera setup at the back and small punch hole notch at the center of the screen. The Design is itself inspired by Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But you will love it. The battery is 5020 mah which is enough to get you a day and if you are a heavy gamer guy 33W charging comes to your rescue. 209G weight and 6.67 inches display if you like big phones.

Camera

There is nothing too flashy about the camera. It is similar to all the other 48MP Quad camera setup. 8MP ultra-wide which is most often useless. 2MP depth sensor which is just for show off. 2MP macro which you will never use unless you are photogenic. The Main sensor can click some decent photos with a fair amount of details. As for the Video recording, No image stabilization but 960fps slow-motion @720p which seems to be a software thing. 4K @30fps and 120fps 1080p slow motion. You won’t be disappointed with the camera quality. But if you are a fan of more natural colors than you will hate Xiaomi for doing too much Image processing.

Verdict

The Only difference between Poco M2 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro is the 33W fast charging and the software. Poco also promises no advertisements. So, if you get can get Redmi Note 9 Pro for cheaper than Poco M2 Pro then go for it. In comparison with other Competitors, Poco M2 Pro is not a bad choice. But the current scenario of budget smartphones is as such all the smartphones are fairly similar except some minor design and software differences. Of course, if you move upwards to 15K+ you can get SD730G devices. Thanks for Reading. Stay Safe! Stay Humble!.
