Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i: Good Price, That’s it

A lot of companies are releasing chromebooks. Everywhere we see, there is a new chromebook from companies like Dell, Acer, and Lenovo isn’t behind.

Lenovo released a chromebook IdeaPad Flex 3i on 30th September, 2021.

This new chromebook has 11.6inch screen (1,366×768 pixels resolution). It comes with a 45watt charger, and 4GB of RAM. It has a Chrome OS operating system. And it’s powered by Intel Celeron processor.

The starting rate of this chromebook is INR 30,990. It’s vastly cheaper for a chromebook, but that means it comes with issues. HP is the only company giving this model a competition for price and might keep up better standards. Let’s look into Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook:

Screen and Display: Can Be Better

As mentioned above, Lenovo has priced their laptop at a lower rate. But that comes hand-in-hand with a series of drawbacks in their display. The screen is only 11.6inches, while Lenovo’s competitors are providing 14-inches.

This means there’s a lot of bezels in this laptop. It makes the screen small. Almost too small to work. If you’re like having two things open at the same time, it’ll be difficult for you to read anything on it.

And Lenovo only worsens this situation. When the screen is already small, the resolutions provided isn’t great either. It’s only 1,366×768 pixels. The picture might look grainy and not clear.

Other Parts: Average

This chromebook has RAM of only 4GB. The storage is 12GB. The webcam is 720p. All of this is quite average. The touchscreen works fine, and the laptop works okay during tablet mode as well. The two stereo speakers are good while using alone. You might need external speakers in a crowded space.

Brightness level of this laptop isn’t good. It’s only 250nits.

The only extra thing worth mentioning is: battery life. Even with heavy use, the laptop lasts around 8 hours and 45 minutes. The charging, too, doesn’t take long. This laptop can be charged up to 60% in 52 minutes.

Heating isn’t a problem in this laptop. Even with heavy use, it wouldn’t heat. However, note that even though it doesn’t heat, it might lag. Scrolling might become a little annoying with this lagging.

Because of this, the laptop is good only for regular use. If any too heavy work might be done on this laptop, it won’t be a smooth experience.

Verdict

In short, there’s nothing great about this laptop. Everything is good except for the screen and display. Nothing but the price of this chromebook is attractive. Consider Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i if you want: cheaper price, don’t have heavy work to do on it, and need a good battery life.
