The year of 2021 was, overall, great for Oppo. Their phones performed great and raised expectations for the upcoming ones. One such phone was Oppo Find X3 Pro, which now may have a sibling: Oppo Find X5 Pro.
Oppo has even released a new foldable before 2021 ended.
A serial leaker on Twitter, Steve H. (@OnLeaks) shared renders. He claims it to be the Oppo Find X4 Pro (or X5 Pro) and posted the renders in 5K. Find the tweet here.
The reason why the new phone could be X5 instead, is because of a Chinese superstition. Chinese people consider 4 to be an unlucky number, which explains why several phones have 5 on them when it’s the 4th gen.
A Peek Into The “Future”
Now, the notable feature from the render is the rear camera setup. It’s taken from the X3 Pro, but there’s a gradual slope instead. However, the setup is asymmetrical. It looks like it’s a mix of a circle, trapezoid, and a square. It will raise some skepticism regarding the aesthetic qualities of the phone.
While X3 Pro had center selfie camera, the Oppo Find X5 Pro has a left-aligned camera. The rumours suggest a 32MP punch hole selfie camera too.
The leaker, in collaboration with Prepp, has almost posted some more rumours of this phone.
Oppo X5 Pro may be the first phone to contain MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. It could have the standard 120Hz refresh rate, with a 6.78inch screen. The battery, too, is the standard 5,000mAh. The render shows only a single colour of the Oppo Find X5 Pro, which is purple.
The article by Prepp suggests this new phone will release in March of 2022. And it’s market rate will be around ~INR 52,000.
Overall, it looks like Oppo is planning to keep up with their good streak of this year.
